The Tagish 3 showing area is underlain by sediments of the Lower Jurassic Laberge Group (Inklin Formation) comprising greywacke, argillite, shale and conglomerate. The Llewellyn fault is 7 kilometres to the west and separates these rocks from the Coast Plutonic Complex. About 11 kilometres to the east, the Nahlin fault separates Laberge rocks from the Cache Creek Complex.

The showing occurs in a small creek where a major fault cuts through argillite bedrock. The fault is about 30 metres wide and follows the argillite on an easterly strike, with a southerly dip. Several rock samples were taken and one, sample 104413, analysed 0.96 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 28930). Mineralization is assumed to be the same as the Quantity showing (104M 080) 2.5 kilometres to the southwest where pyrite and arsenopyrite in quartz veins occur in a fault zone cutting argillite.

In 2006, B. Davies and A. Justason conducted prospecting and sampling on behalf of Blind Creek Resources Ltd.

In 2009, four soil samples were taken on the Tagish 3 claim area on behalf of Blind Creek.
